Two council seats are on the ballot and voters may vote for two. The race is nonpartisan. Six candidates qualified: Ronna Green, Happy Grewal, Arjun Juturu, Nader Shareghi, Bernice King Tingle and Suresh Vuyyuru; Green and Tingle are incumbents. Mountain House incorporated on July 1, 2024 as California's 483rd city and San Joaquin County's eighth. Population 25,315 (U.S. Census, July 2025). Suresh Vuyyuru founded the Mountain House Sports & Recreation Club in 2020 and serves as its Founder and Chairman; it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 93-2235954. He ran for the first City Council on March 5, 2024 and was not elected, receiving 1,295 votes (9.64%), sixth of eight candidates in an at-large contest for four seats. He qualified for the 2026 ballot on August 7, 2026. Note the spelling: Vuyyuru, with two y's. He does not hold and has never held elected office — "Councilmember", "incumbent" and "re-elect" are incorrect.
