Meet Suresh, candidate for Mountain House

Suresh Vuyyuru is a Mountain House dad, an engineer and a farmer. In 2020 he founded the Mountain House Sports & Recreation Club — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built to give a brand-new community somewhere to gather. He is its Founder and Chairman.

Mountain House was not a city then. It became one on July 1, 2024, the first new city in California in more than a decade. By the time it had a City Council, the club had already been running tournaments for four years.

He ran for Council in that first election, in March 2024, and he lost. 1,295 votes — 9.64%, sixth of eight, for four seats. He was not elected, and he kept organising anyway. That is the argument for him, and it is the whole of it.

On August 7, 2026 he qualified for the November 3 ballot. Two seats are up. Six candidates qualified. The race is nonpartisan.
