What to do

  1. Check that you are registered

Look up your status at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov. If you have moved within Mountain House since 2024, your record may still show your old address.

  2. Register, or re-register, by October 19

Online at registertovote.ca.gov. It takes a few minutes and you need a California driver's licence or ID number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.

  3. Watch for your ballot in early October

Every registered California voter is mailed a ballot. San Joaquin County will send them no later than October 5.

  4. Vote for two

Two seats are open. A ballot marked for only one candidate still counts — but you are entitled to two choices.
